Dimitri Papaioannou started his music path at his very early age with musical influences coming from his birthplace, the island of Ikaria in Greece, a very unique place .
He started collecting records and playing at local parties in Athens becoming resident dj at many clubs spinning some fine house and techno tunes back then .
His love for music never had any limits and Dimitri started to be more freestyle by mixing lots of genres and combining styles from Afro to experimental 4/4 electronic stuff.
After arriving in Italy in 1995 he’s been fully involved in the underground scene of Naples and Bologna being resident dj at the legendary Link where he had the opportunity to meet some of the finest people who played a significant role in the growth of electronic music and independent culture.
He was also producing music at his " all analog" studio exploring the fields of dance music, experimenting different soundways . He collaborated with the likes of Thomas Brinkmann , Davide Squillace, Wang Inc , Ku , Felix Kubin , Keith Tucker and many others .
Back in Greece, in 2004, he started organising the Synch Festival in Athens prized as the best European Festival in 2006. During the years he developed his dj sets by mixing an incredible selection of rare music and he played at various clubs and special events in Greece, Italy , Turkey , Australia , Germany , Spain , Iceland ... From 2008 to 2012 he run a small vinyl record shop called 360 and in 2012 he started new adventures with a weekly radio show at En Lefko Fm , one of the most significant radio stations in Greece, running also a very interesting cocktail bar called Spiti where good music is the protagonist !
Dimitri will spread a dj-session dedicated to the sound eclecticism … MUSIC NON STOP!
