Workshop (series): Exploring Modern Poets Inspired by Florence

'My education was the liberty I had to read indiscriminately and all the time, with my eyes hanging out’. These were the words of the Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914-1953) who lived and wrote in Florence. In this series exploring modern poets inspired by Florence, Carla Rosa Manfredino, reviewer for the Times Literary Supplement, will read and discuss their work. After a tea break, attendees will have a go at writing our own poetry. 19th Oct: Poetry by Dylan Thomas. 9th Nov: Poetry by Mina Loy 7th Dec: Poetry by Edith Sewell Carla Rosa Manfredino is writer with a BA and MA from Goldsmiths University, London.
