PER LA PRIMA VOLTA A MILANO UN GRUPPO STORICO DEL PUNK 82 INGLESE:
Dogsflesh were formed in Redcar on Teesside, by guitarist Rob Moore during May 1982, where the band played only a handful of gigs together around the Teesside area, the most namely of which was a support slot to GBH at Middlesbrough’s infamous Rock Garden.
The band also recorded a three track demo in November 1982, with tracks called Never Give In, Mad Dog & Destroy.
The band continued writing new material and playing gigs on both their home turf and further afield, supporting bands like The Angelic Upstarts, The Anti Nowhere League, GBH, Discharge, The English Dogs, UK Subs and The Exploited.
The band then recorded a four track demo at Offbeat Studio’s in Leeds in February 1985 with tracks called Fast Living Boy, Out My Head, Bloody Road to Death and their anthem, Mad Punks & Psycho Skins.
The band split in the summer of 1985 and re-formed again after a 20 year lay off in January 2005, with the original line up, Rob Moore (Guitar), Tim Whitfield (Bass), John McQuade (Vocals) and John Lavender (Drums)
The band hit the road relentlessly playing throughout the UK and also for the first time, in Europe. Realising that they needed new material, the band released a live album recorded in Wakefield and then later in 2005 they re-released the ‘Bloody Road To Death’ 4 track EP.
Further UK & European dates followed plus a change of drummer and the band returned to the studio to record their first full length studio album ‘Vision Of Hell’, which was released on their own label ‘Rock Garden Music’ & this was followed up by the bands first tour of USA and more European tours. Shortly after the US tour the band were signed to Unrepentant Records in USA who released the album for the band in USA and Canada.
More line up changes occurred in 2008, when John McQuade had to quit the band due to the sudden death of his long term partner, and soon after Richie the drummer also had to quit the band to move to Brighton. Richie was replaced by Greg on the skins and the band decided that they wanted to carry on playing and took the decision to carry on as a three piece with Rob taking over on lead vocals.
In May 2010 the band returned to the studio and recorded their latest album ‘Revival Of Species’ which again was released through Rock Garden Music and Unrepentant Records.
